Save the Landfill! Save Money! And get better performance! | | Review Date: August 13, 2010 | | Reviewer: Same, Michigan | If your into recycling and don't mind a little work in cleaning and treating. Buy this filter or one like it. Yes, you do have to buy a recharging kit. It is still worth it in the long run! Save the landfill, better performance with more air flow and save a few bucks! With out a lot of hassel and a perfect fitting filter. |
Where is the oil? | | Review Date: July 9, 2010 | | Reviewer: Computer Guy, Gaithersburg, MD United States | | I bought this filter after reading the excellent reviews. I had thought that I might need to buy oil for any filter that lasts longer than one use but nothing on the add leads you to believe you need oil. Read the instructions and found that sure enough I should have a cleaning kit and Fram oil. Didn't thing that was too much of an issue but after searching amazon and the web every site shows that the cleaning kit is out of stock. Not sure if the other users are using K&N cleaners and oil but this seems to be a bit of an issue. |
awesome | | Review Date: June 1, 2010 | | Reviewer: Miriam Ball, | | Arrived as described. Works great! My gas mileage on the highway has definitely improved. I haven't seen much difference in city driving gas mileage, but the car runs great. |
Great Value | | Review Date: January 23, 2010 | | Reviewer: Gerald, Cleveland, OH | | Haven't used it yet but have used the similar K&N. At around $9 the price was way better and if it works even close to the K&N, I will be very happy. |
Great Filters...But watch out for "custom fit" issues... | | Review Date: October 18, 2009 | | Reviewer: Mr. George F. Marquise Jr., USA | | And what I mean by that: While this peticular panel filter actually Is the measurement that Amazon lists on the web page--and, fits my '02 Pontiac Grand Prix as stated, But , I want to get a round filter to fit my big block '65 440 coronet, which sports a 14" after market air cleaner housing,so you can't just enter "make sure of vehicle fit" helper on the page... I scanned through all of the round filters, paying close attention to the "Dimensions" listed on ALL of them..., I ordered one claiming to be "14.3 x 5.8 x 14.4" What I received was waaaay off from that...It was like 7" x 2.5" Yet, in the "correct" box with the correct part number...Called it in,shipped it back, and tried again, same part number...same thing came again, proving it was not "wrong filter in wrong box"... Can't get any info from "[...]" on correct sizes either.... annoying, for sure. I wonder where Amazon gets the info they state---Bottom line, "CUSTOM FIT" PEOPLE, BEWARE |
